My thoughts are with the residents of Straddie, human and animal, and anyone else affected after cyclone Alfred hit this area on the weekend 💛My property was also hit but Grace & I are safe and sound despite very high winds and 4 days of no power (so far). The property held up amazingly well. Thankfully it was less severe than forecast and less widespread damage occurred to the area but lessons were definitely learnt.
Just wanted to add, Thank you so much for watching and for your kind words on the last video regarding the loss of Occy. I am still a little overwhelmed at just how beautiful this community's response has been and acknowledge that we have all lost a dear friend. I miss the big guy so much 💛

Wow, what a glorious place. I do hope they are all okay after the impact of cyclone Alfred. Love those kangas and goannas. Your missing Occy brought me to tears and reminded me there were things I also wanted to do with my old whippet, who, like Occy, died quite suddenly at 12 years of age on Christmas morning of 2023. So glad Bec ansd Eamon have been there to bring some joy to your life at present. Hope you fared okay through Alfred. What a way to initiate Grace into the commune!

Lovely vlog Max. It reminds me of my trip to Fraser Is. Although there you couldn't swim in the sea due to hundreds of sharks in the surf zone a few meters from shore. I couldn't believe my eyes when I flew over on a small plane that took off from the beach and you see the sharks lined up perpendicular to the beach resting. It was an incredible site. Loved those lizards you saw and the Fraser dingos to.

I still tear up about Occy so I can only imagine what you’re feeling Max. He had such an amazing life because a human understood his value.

Oh, I adore both of you y'all's channels and in your defense for day two. I remember seeing a full moon you guys were camping under! So jokingly you can take this back to Emon & Bec & Frankie it wasn't your fault. The tides were so high because it's a full moon❤ The next day. You had your tides right! It was just the full moon that screwed it up😂😂😂😂🎉🎉 Y'all it's so cool. See two different perspectives of a trip and y'all are just the best people ever. Thank you for sharing.

Max, no doubt Occy would have loved that adventure, but….. He had a doggy lifetime of adventures with you (Lee too), so he didn't miss out. We miss you too Occy…..
