Sometimes I think some people shouldn’t be allowed to vote or make their own decisions: how can you want someone to “put you in your place”? God. You evidently have no brain. If it’s a kinky related thing fine, just keep it to yourself, your sexual life shouldn’t be paraded around.
Ps. I don’t have a problem with people wanting a “leader”, but they mistake it for a dictator. The language we use reveals a lot about the underlying dynamics at play. Saying “I want to be put in my place” suggests an external force imposing control, as if the other person has the authority to dominate or correct you—whether you agree or not. The word implies coercion, subjugation, and even a sense of punishment. It’s not about guidance or mutual respect; it’s about power being exercised over you.
Contrast that with “I want to be led” or “I want to be shown”—those phrases imply a level of consent, agency, and trust. They suggest that the person in the more dominant role is offering direction, not imposing control, and that the one being led is choosing to follow, rather than being forced into a role.
