We are becoming more and more sensationalised like US media, every single day. When I was growing up, this would have been reported as a 5 minute review. Now, there are anxiety ridden and panic driven specials being aired every few hours. Pathetic Australian media. Did you run out of hairdressers claiming bankruptcy stories? The media is reaching a new level of desperation and absolute embarrassment here in Australia. Just like the US. Who ever is calling the shots needs to step down. NO ONE cares. Having experienced many cyclones/typhoons in Cairns and Taiwan, people must take them seriously regardless of size because debris can become lethal missiles and skewer you in an instant, and falling power lines and trees are so dangerous. The key word is UNPREDICTABLE ! Also to note is that after the eye passes over, the wind comes from the reverse part of the spiral, so it appears to change direction. And trees weakened from winds in one direction, now give way when hit from behind! So stay indoors! Fill water containers because you don't realize how much you depend on water until you it gets cut off!

Guys i live in brisbane and i didnt take this seriously until LITERALLY just now my neighbours house was set on fire because the winds pushed a tree down onto one of the powerlines and it started a fire to my neighbours house. TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY!!!
